How we met
Drew had just come home from his mission in New York and was able to spend just a few days at home before he returned to BYU. Deanna had taken a semester during the summer at BYU and stuck around there until school started for her at BYU-Idaho. Drew's dad dropped him off at college and just a few minutes after, he was invited to his neighbor's apartment to watch a movie. Well his neighbor was a good friend of Deanna's when she lived in Monterey so she too was invited. Deanna walked in and they both kind of noticed each other but did not speak to each other until the movie ended. Deanna was getting ready to head out when Drew asked her what her name was. They talked for a couple minutes and she invited Drew to go to a dance where she was meeting some other friends that same night. Drew at first was trying to say that he had a lot to do and unpack his stuff but ended up going with her. They hung out every day that week and then Deanna headed off to Idaho. Even though they were apart they tried to see each other every other weekend.

Our happily ever after
Drew went back to Colorado after that first semester and Deanna shortly followed. Drew proposed to her on July 8, 2011. They had a lot of decisions to make and the biggest one they decided on was to get married on July 15, 2011. It was pretty fast and it was a very intimate wedding since it was just the two of them. They had other things to think about like school and such so they decided to do it right away and have their reception the following year and celebrate with their families then. Their reception was on July 20, 2012. They have had such a wonderful year together and are looking forward to the many adventures yet to come.
