Christmas

Drew and I went to California to spend Christmas with my family. We flew out of Denver on the 22nd. It was so nice to see my mom again. Our vacation was full of activities. We went to the Getty Museum, ate at a super fancy restaurant there, went clubbing with my parents and step-brother lol, went to Universal Studios, Venice Beach, Santa Monica, downtown LA, Long Beach, saw Les Mis, toured an old cruise ship, went to Catalina Island, ate at some tasty restaurants, shopped, walked, rode bicycles along the beach. We went to bed late and woke up early every day. I enjoyed seeing my grandpa, aunt and uncle, and mom and dad. I got a nook from my parents. Super excited about my new nook! Drew got money for a new phone from them. Oh and we had Mexican food at La Feria restaurant in LA. it's not in the best area but it is AMAZING! I highly recommend it. It is a nice clean restaurant where cops and security guys go to eat. Best flan I have ever had at a restaurant and I'm picky on flan. I only like my grandma's flan but this one was pretty good. Drew even liked it too. Super delicious rice and horchata and everything!
Anyways, it was a nice little getaway for a bit. We came back home on the 27th.
Here are pics from our trip.

Parties and Fun

It has been quite an eventful couple of days. I have been baking and creating goodies for Christmas plates to give out to friends and family.
Friday night was Drew's work Christmas party at the Broadmoor. They had like cirque de solei performers and yummy food. There was dancing, fake gambling, and karaoke. It was great meeting Drew's co-workers and hearing them talk so highly of him. He works so hard. Oh, he also won a trip to Puerto Rico from work. He came home from work earlier this week with a bouquet of flowers and a card and inside he had written some really heartfelt words and told me about the trip. I looked up at him and said what!? It was the best. I am excited for our finally honeymoon trip :)

Last night was my works Christmas party at bambinos. It wasn't even close to being as exciting as Drew's party but it was still nice. There was a buffet and we all got a gift. I unfortunately got coffee beans a mug and a chocolate spoon. I can do all but the coffee. Maybe I'll give it to somebody from work. After the party we went to my brother-in-laws apartment to hang out with them and deliver our nieces Christmas presents. We also watched the new batman movie. It was pretty exciting but we didn't finish the movie.

So long Panda

Well guys, today was my last day at Panda Express!!!
There were a few things I liked and didn't like about working there. In all though I think it is a good place to work at. I definitely liked it more than Red Robin.

I will now have a little vacation before I start school in January. I will also be able to have the schedule I want and be able to spend time with my husband on the weekends. Although it is a pay cut, I think I will be happier not working there. Man, people can be super rude sometimes and really messy.

It was nice knowing you Panda. I'm sure I'll be back for a visit since its Drew's favorite.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Well thanksgiving is over, you know what that means! Christmas music, Christmas lights, Christmas tree, Christmas Christmas Christmas!
I seriously can't believe it's already this time of year. Where did the time go?
Yesterday Drew and I went to the Broadmoor hotel for their lights ceremony. It was nice going out just the two of us and walk around. The lights were so pretty.
Today I finished getting our Christmas tree ready and put up some lights on our porch :) I am so excited for Deacember!

Count your Blessings

It's thanksgiving! The day where we spend time with our family, stuff ourselves with turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes, and most importantly when we think of all the wonderful blessings we have received.

We had our thanksgiving yesterday with my in-laws. It is always wonderful spending time with them. We had so much food. We gobbled down some turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, homemade Mac and cheese, rolls, and some cauliflower cheese bake thing I made. It was such a delicious dinner. We relaxed and played games.

It wasn't all so pleasant yesterday. My day started off awful. I got a brush stuck in my hair. It was ridiculous. I won't even go on telling you the story, just know that it sucked. I went to go pick up a roasting pan from a friend with a brush in my hair. She tried to work it out but I had to get going. We went to my in-laws with the brush still in my hair. My sister-in-law Joslyn and my father-in-law were working on it as we'll. Then Drew worked on it and he got it out! Other than that it was a good day.

Today I am making a turkey just for the two of us and having a mini thanksgiving with just us. I hope it turns out good. We are going to have stuffing and mashed potatoes with gravy and apple pie. And of course we are going to watch football with dad (father-in-law). We are also thinking about doing the Black Friday shopping. We'll see if that actually happens or not.

Now for what I'm thankful for.
I have been blessed with such a loving, caring, hard working, dedicated husband. He does so much for our little family and I appreciate everything he does. I couldn't ask for a better husband to be by my side.
I am also grateful for such wonderful families. My in-laws are awesome! And I am so blessed to have in-laws that love me :) I am especially grateful for my father-in-law because I actually feel like I have a dad to go to and who loves me. I am also grateful for my mom and dad. My mom and mother-in-law are both so sweet. My mom is always there for me. I wish she were closer. I am also grateful for my dad. He has helped me with so much over the years.
I am grateful for a nice home to live in. I absolutely love our new place. I'm grateful for our jobs which have given us financial security and for the food we have to eat and our cars we have to travel. Even though the car I drive is as old as me I am still so very grateful for a car. It gets me from here to there and it's not bad.
I am also so very grateful for the gospel in my life and for the blessings which Heavenly Father has given me. I am grateful that I was able to go through the temple and experience such an awesome thing. I am grateful to know the truth and for such a loving Heavenly Father.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving guys! I hope you remember what you have been blessed with and stuff your faces with yummy food :)

Something Sweet

I am starting up a little business with a lady I work with from the school. We are going to be selling treats like cupcakes, cake balls, chocolate, fudge, and such. We did our first craft fair about a week or two ago. It went alright. Drew has gotten us some customers from his work. Thank you Drew! We are just barely starting out. I hope it goes well.
Oh and December 1st is my last day at panda! Then I'll have a little bit of time before I start school in January.

Halloween?

I know it's way into November but I just wanted to share my cute little craft I did for Halloween. I decorated our door. Oh and share what drew dressed up as. He had to dress up for work. They let kids go into the center where he works and trick or treat in there. I too had to work that night but we weren't allowed to dress up.

Delayed news

Well guys I'm back!
Sorry it has been a while.
There has been a lot that has happened in the past 3 months. First off, we moved to a new apartment. We absolutely love it! We have an extra room, patio, fireplace, pantry, dining room, walk-in closet, vanity, private entrance and water is free! We just pay electric. Here are a few pics of the new place. Oh and the best part is that our friends Jeff and Jenny are moving in to these apartments next month!

Hope you enjoy the tour of our apartment :)

Do Not Mess With Us

Note to readers:
This post is a little bit above my normal posting attitude and I apologize.

Just so you know....

If you talk about me behind my back to my in-laws saying that I'm fake, are rude to me and my husband, say that you used to be my husband's girlfriend when you never have, oh and talk about my husband's dick at all then we have a problem.
Grow up and act your age, Oh wait, you are.

On a more positive note, we are moving in 6 days!!! Just right across the street actually. We wanted to move into Beverly Place apartments last year but it was full so we got stuck with the ones we are in now. We are upgrading to a 2 bedroom apartment and I am super excited! We will have a fireplace, a patio, pantry, breakfast bar, separate dining area, a vanity, walk-in closet, and my favorite, laundry in our unit!!!! The complex also has tennis courts, heated outdoor pool, sauna, and gym. It is the cheapest place in the area considering all those amenities and water, sewer, trash is paid for.  Here is a little video about the new place.

Ex Missionary

Well guys my ex missionary comes home today. Crazy! I am very proud of that guy for going on a mission. I'm sure he learned a lot and had a great time. I was also informed that he will be going to BYU-Idaho. Funny that I would have been there but not anymore. Maybe one of you gals still in Idaho will see him hehe.
Well, good luck to you Steven!

So relieved

These past couple weeks have been super hectic. I made it through my last class at byui which means I will be getting my associates!!!!!!!
Also, my mom came to the springs a week before the rest of my family. I was able to go through the temple for my own endowment with her which wad just amazing! Oh and now I can wear absolutely nothing in my closet it seems like lol.
It was pretty crazy getting everything ready for the reception and my best friend helped a lot. Samantha got here the day before and left the day afterbur she did soo much! Also, my in-laws did a lot to help especially my father-in-law. He built the lattice thing we used as a backdrop for pictures and he also put up all the Christmas lights and line to hang them on and switched out lights. My mother-in-law made our topper cake which looked and tasted AMAZING! she also helped make meatballs and a veggie platter and got all the tablecloths. My sister-in-law made some carrot cake cupcakes. My parents helped us buy the wontons, sent lights out to us, and much more. It was so nice to have my family out here. It was over a year since the last time i saw them. Thank you everybody who helped us make that day so special.
Well now that I'm done with school for a couple weeks and done planning for reception stuff I can now relax. Except we are also moving in 2 weeks...eeek! Oh and I also got accepted to UCCS :) I'm moving on in my goals just wish I was completely done already.

1 year anniversary

Sunday July 15th was our one year anniversary of being married. I don't even know how it got here already. Time flew on by.
This past year has just been the best. I am so glad that I married Drew. He is the best husband I could ever have. We have had our ups and our downs and we have gotten through it all together. I love how Drew is so caring and loving and always there for me. He is honest, loyal and smart with our money. He is funny, handsome and helpful around the house. He is strong, determined, and a hard worker. He is the perfect husband for me and is going to be a wonderful dad when the time comes.
I am looking forward to getting sealed to him forever. I love you Drew. Thank you for being so wonderful to me.
