Oh yeah I'm 21!

I am finally 21!!!! Woooo! I am now legal and can buy alcohol and go into clubs without getting those ridiculous stamps on your hands. I do not think I will do either of those things though. I do not drink and well as much as I would love to go dancing with Drew, it's not Drew's thing :(. It's alright. Well last year I posted that I made it through my teens without becoming a teenage mom and other things. Still true for this birthday and I am happy for that. As much as we both would like a baby we know that it is best for us to wait a little bit. I do not see how people do it. You get married then 9 months later....hello little baby. Dude, spend some time with your spouse for a bit. You will not get that time back if you jump into having a baby. It is a lot easier to go travel and have fun with your spouse when you first get married rather than when your kids are all grown up and you are old.

I am going to share somebody's story. She got married when she was 17 and her husband was like 22 so he had to be her legal guardian before he could be her husband. Uhhh...weird! So she is now 20 and has a baby who is almost 2 and is pregnant again! She will have two kids before she is even 21. I mean I'm not the one to judge their situation but I don't think I could do that. If it is working for them and they are happy then good for them  but I just think that it would be very hard for anybody to be in that situation and be financially okay.

Well anyways, my birthday this year was alright. I didn't go to Vegas like every other person in the world but I am totally okay with that. I celebrated my birthday the Saturday before. We went to Denver and got a new entertainment center from Ikea and had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and then Drew treated me to a shopping spree at Forever 21. That was a great day! I had to work that evening which sucked and also worked on the day of my birthday but the Monday after my birthday we celebrated it with the in-laws. We had dinner and cake that my mother-in-law made. It was gorgeous. Here is a picture of it.

Well the big birthdays are over for a while. We'll see what next year has in store.
